Introduction of Colour Flyer Printing Process

1. Color flyer printing process: four-color printing

Four color printing process generally refers to the printing process of reproducing various colors of colorful originals with yellow, magenta and cyan primary ink and black ink.

Photos taken by color photography to reflect the rich color changes of nature, painters' color art works or other pictures containing many different colors must be scanned and separated by electronic color scanner or color desktop system for process requirements or economic benefits, and then copied by four-color printing process.

2. Color flyer printing process: spot-color printing

Spot-color printing refers to the printing process that uses other color inks other than yellow, magenta, cyan and black inks to copy the color of the original. Spot-color printing process is often used in leaflet printing to print large area background color.

Leaflet printing is often composed of even color blocks of different colors or regular gradually varied color blocks and characters. These color blocks and characters can be overprinted with four primary color inks after color separation, or spot color inks can be prepared, and then only one spot color ink can be printed at the same color block.

3. What is the difference between spot color printing and four-color leaflet printing

In leaflet printing, the ink prepared by spot color printing obtains the color according to the mixing principle of subtractive mixture, which has low color lightness and high saturation. Spot color blocks with even ink color are usually printed on the spot, and the amount of ink should be appropriately increased. When the thickness of the ink layer of the layout is large, the sensitivity of the thickness change of the ink layer to the color change will be reduced, so it is easier to obtain the effect of uniform and thick ink color printing. As a great printing manufacturer, we promise to provide the best products for you.

For the color block printed by four-color printing process, since most of the colors constituting the color block are composed of a certain proportion of dots, the ink layer thickness must be strictly controlled during dot printing, which is easy to change the color intensity and degree of dot increase due to the change of ink layer thickness and printing process conditions, resulting in the change of color. Moreover, since the change of any color constituting the color block will lead to the change of the color of the block, and the chance of uneven ink color will be doubled. So it is not easy to obtain the effect of even ink color for the color block printed by four-color printing process. If the multi-color press cannot be used to print the color of the color block at one time, it is also easy to have color deviation because the color of semi-finished products is not easy to control. In addition, four-color printing obtains the comprehensive effect of subtractive mixing and additive mixing of dots, with high brightness and low saturation of color blocks. For light color blocks, due to the low coverage of ink on paper, four-color printing process will make the ink color dull and lack of thickness. Due to the angle of the network, people will inevitably feel the existence of patterns.
